A street hawker is someone who earns his living by selling goods from street to street. He carries his goods on head, in hand or in a handcart. He generally buys goods at a cheaper rate and sells them at a good profit. He sells different kinds of things such as bangles, ribbons, fruits, utensils, fancy goods etc. A street hawker is shrewd. His customers are mainly children and women. He speaks in different ways to convince his customers. Besides, he knows the appropriate time of his business. He usually comes when housemasters are not at home and when women are free from their domestic chores. A street hawker cannot earn much. He leads an indecent life.
