MY FAVOURITE POET

A poet expresses different aspects of human life in his writings. Different poet high lighted different things in their writings. I like most the poet Kazi Nazrul Islam for his rebellions feelings in his writings. He is a wellknown as the rebel poet in Bengali literature. He was born at churulia in Asansol in the year of 1899.His father's name was Kazi Fakir Ahmed and his mother's name was Zaheda Khatun. His mother lost her four children at the time of their birth. Nazrul Islam was her fifth and first children who alived. So, his parents named him Dukhu Mia. He wrote several poems and prose pieces. He edited a magazine named 'Dhumketu' in which he published all his revolutionary writings. His famous creations are Agni Bina Badhan Hara, Rikter Bedon, Bisher Banshi, Praloy - Shikha etc. He was sent to jail for one year for writing the poem 'Agamani'. It was Nazrul through whom the people began to hope for a better future. He helped them to fight for independence break the bondage of slavery from British rule. Through his writings he has made his place in the mind of every Bengali literary interested person.
